Music Review: nature sounds only, no music

I would rate this album 3.5 stars. I do volunteer Reiki under healing touch type programs at local hospitals. I wanted to offer patients something other than the usual New Age music usually available. Your liking of this This CD will probably depend on how much you like nature sounds only as there is no music or ambient sounds. If you are looking for something along these lines you may like this CD. Both tracks are about 20 minutes. The first track is Emotional Openness and the back of the cover states it "inspires you to experience the "highest" levels of medication." It consists of mostly rain, thunder, wind and bird sounds like you might experience in a tropical rain forest or the countryside. The second track is Intimate Communication and the description from the back cover is "enhances your clarity of mind, insight and awareness." It consists of flowing water with bird, frog and other tropical rain forest sounds. The CD serves it purpose, but I felt the rain and water sounds could have been more crisp and gentle. However as background to reading or relaxing it will probably do nicely for most. The CD I purchased came in the environmentally conscious paper so popular these days.
