Music Review: "Dolly At Her Pop Best!"

For fans of Dolly who want to hear a pop sounding album of hers "Heartbreaker" is it. More mainstream sounding than any album of Dolly's career this album ranks as one of her finest, and I would say has never gotten old. When you hear the CD it's like Dolly has just recorded it.
Originally released in 1978 after the hugely successful "Here You Come Again" album, Heartbreaker stayed for an amazing 9 week reign at #1 on the charts and had 2 country #1 songs, the title track and the beautiful "I Really Got The Feelin'". The album also spawned the great disco song "Baby I'm Burnin'" that DJ's still play in most clubs. The song "Heartbreaker" has some of the most amazing Dolly vocals ever and she proves with this one track that she's as good as Streisand or Houston.
Dolly wrote the bulk of songs too on the album and one has gone on to international recognition with Nana Miscouri recording "Nickles and Dimes".
The album art is breathtaking and designed by famed Hollywood photographer Ed Careff.
"Heartbreaker" also went gold selling over 500,000 copies!
