Music Review: I just discovered the Chicks!

Our family just bought the "Shut Up and Sing" Dvd and we were blown away. We love Lyle Lovett, Alison Krauss and other contemporary country, but I don't know how we could have missed this amazing band. We are buying every Dixie Chicks cd they've recorded not only because we love the music, in addition they have character and are willing to stand up and be counted. Courage should be rewarded. This is great music and their incredible musical talent speak for themselves. This album is full of pain, anger, redemption, hope and strength. 5 grammy nominations and the 9th best selling album of 2006 even with limited to almost non-existent airplay--nuff said! If you really want to see the incredible depths of their talent and musicianship, catch a live concert! These women are awesome!!!!!Music Review: What a statement on their comeback!

Fantastic album! Nothing less than great songs from start to finish. Demonstrates the group's continued progress from country pop stars to polished contemporary artists. Truly a strong statement of their vision and maturity in the face of political attacks and country radio's abandonment of the group. That's okay--this album signals that they'd outgrown the limitations of country pop anyway.Music Review: Very good album

The title track is fantastic as is Not Ready To Make nice but overall I preferred Wide Open Spaces and Top of the World
