Music Review: Popular and Rare Disney Villains

This is a great CD, for both parents and kids. It reminds me ALOT of the soundtrack played at the Disney Parks and stores during the Halloween season (PLEASE release a CD of that!!!).
These songs pretty much run the entire spectrum of Disney animation from (1941) Dumbo to (2009) Princess and the Frog. There are lots of movie soundtrack standbys like "The Siamese Cat Song" and "Poor Unfortunate Souls" and "Oogie Boogie's Song" (whoa-oh, whoa-oh...), as well as rarely heard songs from Pete's Dragon and The Emperor's New Groove.
However, this CD isn't quite perfect for my brood as we were REALLY hoping to hear the "Heffalump Song" from Winnie the Pooh. Also, the version of "Cruella De Vil" included in the CD is pretty much all instrumental piano except for the last 45 seconds where Roger (from the movie) sings a short verse.
Even though this disc isn't entirely perfect for my family, we still give it thumbs up...
1) it definitely is enjoyable and fun
2) the disc also has links to cute recipe, craft, and coloring pages
3) there are enough sing-along songs (not to mention DMR points) to justify the CD price!
