Music Review: A classic album from the greatest singer in the history of rock!

This is the second Dio album. This is a classic with no fillers. I think this album has Vivian Campbell's best solos too. Ronnie has never sounded better and the drums the bass and keyboards are all great. This was Dio's most popular album of the 80's and has 3 hits on it.

1.We Rock- 10/10 A great opener. An awesome classic anthem. This song has stood the test of time and is still popular more than 20 years later. The riff is great and the vocals are amazing. The chorus rocks and the lyrics are excellent. A great shredding solo by Vivian Campbell too! The first hit off the album.

2.The Last in Line- 10/10 Another classic. This song starts off soft with great vocals from Ronnie before exploding into a heavy rocker with Ronnie yelling The pounding guitar, drums and bass are awesome too. Ronnie's vocals are incredible and Vivian Campbell's solo is excellent. This is one of Ronnie's biggest hits ever and is still popular today. Awesome fantasy theme and excellent lyrics.

3.Breathless- 10/10 Another classic. A great riff and awesome vocals. This sounds like a mix of the Dio song Gypsy and the Ratt song "Round And Round". Great lyrics from Ronnie too. Another great guitar solo too.

4.I Speed at Night- 10/10 An awesome fast song. One of the fastest Dio songs ever. The riff is great and reminds me of the Rainbow classic Spotlight Kid. The chorus is great and the vocals are lyrics are excellent. This song has one of Vivian Campbell's fastest solos too. Great raw energy in Vivian's technically challenging solo. A classic and one of my favorites on the album.

5.One Night in the City- 10/10 Another classic. One of my 5 favorite songs on the album. A classic fantasy song from Dio. The lyrics and riff are excellent. This song is very heavy and very melodic. Ronnie's powerful vocals are amazing too. The bridge and chorus are awesome too. A great melodic solo from Vivian Campbell too.

6.Evil Eyes- 10/10 A great fast rocker that reminds me of the Scorpions. Ronnie's vocals and lyrics are excellent as always and the riff is great. Vivian's shredding solo is awesome too. A good catchy chorus too.

7.Mystery- 10/10 The 3rd hit off this album and a great melodic song. The keyboards are excellent and the lyrics are brilliant. the chorus is excellent and Ronnie's vocals are amazing as always. Another great solo by Vivian Campbell too. A classic song. This has a commercial sound but it's not hair metal or pop metal.

8.Eat Your Heart Out- 9/10 Another great song. The weakest song on the album but it has a catchy chorus and a good riff. Ronnie's vocals are great as always too. The bridge is the best part of the song. Vivian's solo is great too

9.Egypt (The Chains Are On)- 10/10 This is the epic of the album. This is one of the best Dio songs ever. This song is still played live over 20 years later. Ronnie's vocals are amazing too. The intro adds a great affect to the song. The soft part is amazing and Ronnie's lyrics are brilliant. the bridge and solo are excellent too. This is he best song on the album.

This album has 9 great songs and incredible musicianship. I think the first 5 Dio albums are all equally good but this, Magica and Holy Diver are the most popular. This has 3 hit songs, epics, rockers... everything execpt a ballad. A true classic album.
