Music Review: ESSENTIAL Mindfulness Meditation CD!

If you want to learn Mindfulness Meditation, this CD is a GREAT resource! The Garden of NOW CD is a follow-up to the highly acclaimed DVD version. The CD does a fantastic job at presenting mindfulness in an easy to understand manner. It includes a total of 4 guided exercises plus a wonderful introduction to mindfulness. The exercises vary in difficulty level and sequentially build off of each other. First, the Body Scan exercise instructs viewers to cultivate present moment awareness throughout all body regions. Next, a guided Sitting Meditation will help you anchor yourself in the present moment by focusing on the breath.
Most notably, this CD includes 2 Bonus tracks: 1. "Connecting with Difficult Emotions" - helps with learning to take a compassionate and mindful approach to deal with our uncomfortable emotional states (e.g., depression, anxiety, guilt, anger, etc.). 2. "Being with Pain" - teaches users to integrate mindfulness skills to better cope with both physical and emotional pain. These new tracks were very well done and I think individuals will find them a very helpful addition to their mindfulness meditation practice.
I highly recommend this CD. It is another winner from The Garden of NOW Mindfulness Meditation Training series!
