Music Review: BLUE-EYED SOUL MASTERPIECE!!! BRAVO DARYL!!!!!

Michael McDonald is an excellent blue-eyed soul singer but Daryl is the real deal!!! "I Can't Stop Playing" this wonderous collection of hynotic vocals which illustrate blue-eyed soul singing at it's very finest!! Every song here is a total knock-out that will stir your emotions and satisfy your soul and make you wonder what is wrong with the radio programmers in this country today!!! Hello!!!!!!!!! From the flowing rhythm to the loose vocal that is all over the map with such ease in the opener "Can't Stop Dreaming", you know that you are in store for a completely extraordinary experience that is as good as it gets!! A soulful sax intro into "Let Me Be The One" leads you into a totally hynotic smooth vocal by Daryl that comes from deep inside and you soon realize that this guy is really comparable to the greatness of a Marvin Gaye yet has not been given his just due!! "Something About You" is a soothing love song that is soft and tender with great guitar work complimenting Daryl's ethereal vocal. Get ready for the ride of your life in "Cab Driver" which is dark and jazzy and simply a classic which would be a huge hit if heard at all!!! Daryl's voice will blow you away in this one as it will in the driving rhythm number "Never Let Me Go". Daryl's extraordinary vocal on "Holding Out For Love" is at its most gorgeous and this is a soul-deep performance!! To think that Daryl also wrote all of these classic songs in addition to having such a great flexable voice makes this great set even more amazing and incredible that "Grammy" is not connected to this solid classic!! HELLO GRAMMY!!!-Are you in outer space??? This original classic exceeds Michael's "Motown" in every way imaginable but that is not meant to put down "Motown" as it is an enjoyable work but come on!!!! Give credit where credit is due and Daryl is long overdue for it!!!! "Justify" flows and is catchy and "What's In Your World" is another gut-wrenching and deeply soulful song that would be a Top 40 smash if given single release!!! Classic guitar work embellishes another beautiful vocal from Daryl in the haunting "Hold On To Me" and "She's Gone" is the definitive version of this already established classic!!! Next is the breezy "All By Myself" that makes me happy for the convenience of the repeat buttom because this great song is so infectious that once you get into this classic you will not be able to get enough of it!! Closing is the masterful "Fools Rush In" which will spin you out into orbit and make you want to come back for more it's that hot and cooking!! This is a truly GREAT album that has never been topped or quite matched by any male singer/songwriter that I have yet to hear so get it and EXPERIENCE fine soul singing at it best!!!!
