Music Review: Hot beats, decent singing, heard it before lyrics

For those who are familiar with Little Brother and The Justus League, I'm sure you have came across D. Brock. He drops his first solo debut, but with little promotion, which I thought was suprising. But anyway, he has a one-tone singing style that doesn't innovate as the album progresses. 9th Wonder and Khrysis provides beats which will suprise most LB fans because they are R&B beats. Which was feasable for D. Brock which saves the album. Imagine listening to this album with no beats, OUCH! Not saying that Dee can't sing, it's just not what made this ablum strong. The lyrics and subjects get repetitive, with the only execption, "Thank You" where D. Brock sings a thoughtful song for his mom one of the stronger songs on the album.
The 9th Wonder assisted "Think it Over" provides that throwback R&B sound, but D. Brock makes a poor attempt to sound commercial on Chaundon assisted "More and More", even Chaundon drops a couple of poor verses. D. Brock rebounds with stronger songs such as "I Got What You Want" with that cadillac throwback sound, and "Come Over" which is a nice song to play for the ladies. However, repetitive love songs, topics, and average singing brings my rating down a notch (pologize for being the first 3 star review). Casual music fans will enjoy this album for background music at parties or on their spare time, but TEOs (read the profile) will find flaws and won't really push it to others. D. Brock has work to do, but I think he's an artist that will get better with time!
