Music Review: The best Gatton recording I've heard so far...

Using words to describe Gatton's playing is useless not only does he touch all bases on guitar here but he does it with sound , technique, style, tone and all adjectives you can think of to describe guitar playing. That being said he had apparently mastered blues, country and jazz in all of it's glory including rockabilly and swing. You name it he played it. He has more chops here than most players have in their lifetime. Strongly recommended.
Description of Unfinished Business
Powerhouse Records is proud to offer another classic release in our "Guitarchives" series, a re-issue by the Legendary Danny Gatton. "Unfinished Business" was first released in 1987 for NRG Records and was Danny's last studio album before signing with Elektra Records in 1991.The album is a typical Gatton eccelctic mix of Roadhouse/Honky Tonks style of American roots music; Blazing Country style Twangin' Instrumentals, Blues, Classic Swing Jazz, 50's style R&B, and timeless Ballads. In the mix of Gatton originals and Standards and Classics there are two bonus cuts: "Nit Pickin'" which was a Guitar Player Magazine soundpage from 1989, and did much to bring Danny's phenomenal Guitar playing to a wider International audience, and a previously un-released version of "Quiet Village" recorded in 1975 which later showed up on Danny's Major label debut album "88 Elmira St" on Elektra Records.
The album has been-re-mastered with a fat shimmering sound perfectly suited to enhance the sparkling "Twangy" Guitar sounds that are the Hallmark of the Danny Gatton Guitar sound.The re-designed package has new art work and a great cover photo of a very young Danny Gatton by Bob Berman as well as the original front cover art re-produced as the tray card art.
