Music Review: Politically Charged Country Rock

Dana Cooper's easy high tenor is radio-friendly and ably reinforced by a cadre of capable country-rock musicians. I believe radioability is a good thing for anti-war vocalists rather than hardcore that makes people want to become violent for having to listen to it.
Cooper sits out the Iraq War where Bush lied and thousands died in "Sit This One Out". But he nearly destroyed Woody Guthrie's "Pretty Boy Floyd". Cooper returned to form when he returned to knocking the neo-Nazi Bush administration in "World of Hurt".
Cooper's vocals, despite the sincerity and passion, just fall flat at times. The music is good. All in all, it is a good collection of tracks that run low on petrol only occasionally. But overall not a bad album.
