Music Review: Gorgeous Hawaiian slack-key guitar

This is an absolutely gorgeous set of twelve slack-key guitar instrumentals from Cyril Pahinui, one of the true masters of the style. Cyril is one of the many musical sons of the late Gabby Pahinui, a legendary guitar player who helped put slack-key on the musical map, and who obviously passed on a wealth of talent to his family. This album is super-mellow and relaxing, but doesn't sink into sappiness or goo -- the true soul of the slack-key tradition comes through loud and clear...
