Common has gone for a much more commercial sound to his new album, and it works. It has fantastic beats thanks to the man Pharrell, and lyrically, Common is no Lupe Fiasco but he is up there with the best. There seems to be only one song which lets the album down and that is 'sex for sugar' which really lacks the depth and complexity of the other songs on the album. The music on the album is perfect for any situation, the car, chilling at home or staring out the window of a train going to work/school. The album has great positive energy which is stimulating and energising
a fantastic album by Common
