Music Review: LOST+ is simply, lost. A total disaster.
Rating: 2 Stars
This would have been a brilliant 5-star EP, but the track LOST+ (with Jay-Z) is HORRENDOUS, and effectively reduces this to 2 stars.
Viva La Vida is not only a monumental work of art from our beloved Coldplay; I regard it to be one of my favourite albums - period.
So, not to pick on Jay-Z: the idea to add a rap track (from anybody) over the already perfect composition "Lost" is akin to taking a crayon to the Mona Lisa.
Fine, somebody had the idea.
Fine, forgive Coldplay for trying this.
But why, dear God, WHY was this actually released!? The fact that this was released is, in my humble opinion, completely indefensible and unforgivable.
