Music Reviews of Classical WeddingMusic Review: Best wedding CD we found - and we listened to a bunch! Rating: 5 Stars
In preparation for our daughter's wedding, we listened to a number (OK - a LOT) of wedding CDs looking for "the one". For us, this CD was it!
We were looking for traditional renditions of wedding classics and found this to be very traditional in style.
The selections are well recorded, therefore useable in place of live music (which is how we used them).
Ultimately, we narrowed our selection to this and "The Knot" wedding collection CD (also available on Amazon), but used more recordings from this CD than from the Knot's - and consistently picked this CD's renditions of pieces on both recordings.
We would recommend this collection, particularly if your tastes run toward traditional (actually, our tastes don't normally run that way, but do when it comes to weddings!).
And congratulations! May the wedding you're preparing for be blessed.
Music Review: A great CD! Rating: 4 Stars
Reviewer: A music fan from Hartford CT This CD was very helpful for our classical ceremony music. I really like the musicians and the sound. For the reception I used the CD "New Wedding Traditions Volume I" (from amazon.com) That CD had meaningful songs for our family and friends like "A Song For My Daughter" for my father bride-dance, "A Song For My Son" for the mother-groom dance,"A Wedding Thank You" for our bridal party and "To Our Family and Friends" for everyone. I am very happy with both of these CDs because they gave me all the special wedding music I needed. Gloria Easton
Music Review: Good purchase Rating: 5 Stars
I purchased this CD for my wedding. Not necessarily to play during the ceremony, but for ideas on what we wanted. I think it's a very nice compilation and it will probably live in my classical music section even after the wedding. The only strange thing about it is that the actual CD has a different cover than the CD case. It says, "Romance in Rio" or something random like that. But when I put it in to play it, the correct music was on the CD. Obviously a manufacturing defect. It doesn't take away from the CD's performance, but I nearly returned it thinking they had sent me the wrong thing.
Music Review: Just Wonderful "moving" music for wedding! Rating: 5 Stars
I am NOT a classic music fan but selection of the music in this CD is wonderful and beautifully elegantly recorded, appropriate upbeating with expecting excitement. I am mainly use this music for my ceremony. I especially love "Fanfare, Bridal Chorus" which I will use for the processional(how many times in life, I can get to show with "fanfare"), and "Horn music" which I will use for the recessional. Some of the others are good for the prelude, the candle ceremony, and communion. This CD will take care of all music for the ceremony. I just love the music!
Music Review: PERFECTION on CD! Rating: 5 Stars
After hearing a string quartet play Cannon in D & The Wedding March at a bridal show, I knew I had to have that exact music for my wedding. Of course, live musicians are very expensive. So, after a long search for the PERFECT music for my wedding, I found this CD. The music on this CD is literally the next best thing to having a string quartet playing live at your wedding! It's exactly what I was looking for. It's very "traditional". I actually just went back to listen to it so I could describe it better in this review and I'm almost in tears. It is PERFECT.
