Music Review: Giving Opera a bad name

As a an Opera listener, this music hurts my ears.This CD is nothing more than pretty packaging to conceal Bocelli's voice which is woefully inadequate for his style of emotional pop, much less opera. As a performer, he would be much better off singing pop tunes, but of course that does not pull on the heartstrings of a less than aware consumer like his "syrupy", over done version of operatic pop. As a listener, there are many choices in opera and contemporary Italian music which far surpass this weak, misguided attempt.
If Bocelli were not blind, he would never be the star that he has become.

I have been listening to Ceili di Toscana continously; it was love at first sound! I have a wonderful "pop" song. Il Coraggio di dire ti amo by Testa-Renis (songwriters on this cd) sung by the famous Domingo, the dramatic operatic tenor, on "Romantic Nights" cd. It indicates to me that opera singers are VERY capable of both mediums with the same good quality voice! Bocelli possesses both abilities and will exhibit this in all his future cd recordings. The world has many more treats from the voice of Bocelli; this is another choice cd to be relished! He comforts the listener!Music Review: Emotional therapy!

"He is all heart; there's no pretense. You can feel it." No kidding. These were my mom's last comments about Bocelli two months before she left earthly existence.
This album helped me process a lot of emotional residue affiliated with the strain of difficult dynamics between my mom and myself.
Don't get me wrong. The music isn't sad; it's pure heart and emotion, so it may evoke emotions. The last cut, "L'Ultimo Re" is gorgeous with the way his voice soars!

Music Review: The most beautiful voice ever.

I have listened to this CD many, many times and it still gives me beautiful goosebumps. Mr. Bocelli has an amazing voice as well as being a beautiful person. I had the great honor of seeing him in concert in Las Vegas in December and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. He sang two songs from this CD, and now they have a greater meaning for me. I will always consider it a great honor to be one of his many fans.I highly recommend this CD to anyone who wants to be touched by real beauty. Thanks to Mr. Bocelli for giving me so many hours of beautiful listening.Music Review: Once in a Blue Moon...

The passion and emotion evoked throughout this CD is simply amazing. I highly recommend it to people who love... My only wish is to discover other equally moving music yet so far the discoveries have been too few and far between. This is in my top 10 of all time. If you are a true romantic, then this is a must to own. For me, I don't have to have the English translations... the pure essence of love is present in every "song". My wife asked me what he was singing about and I said just "love". Excellent melodies and orchestration... a very moving experience
