Music Review: All the Christina we need

I held off on buying this for a loooooonnnnng time. But then Target was selling it for $4.99, so who could pass that up for a new cd? Worth every penny.
I'm not a huge Christina fan. some of her vocal gymnastics are annoying, all technique and no feeling. And her attempts at melissma are excruciating. She ain't no Aretha (but then who is?).
Still this is all the good stuff... well except for two dreadful ballads "I Turn to You" and "Hurt"(hence the four stars). As for the remakes of "Genie in a Bottle" and "Beautiful" I am amazed at how radical they are. Beyond lyrics, they have no relation to the original versions and are even better. And even the new songs "Dynamite" and "Keeps Gettin' Better" are exceptional. Linda Perry sems to be the perfect collaborator.
Oh, also, you get one of the worst album covers EVER.
