Music Review: Astounding collection of songs

This is the perfect music for listening to on a pre-dawn or full moon walk on an oak lined path. I have a lot of music on my iPod, but this has the highest play count. That it is sung in Welsh just makes it better, for there is no more musical language on this planet. Pure peace, pure joy, and a radiance that makes everything around you glow. It says something that only one person has rated it less than five stars; and that a four. Someone else here has the right of it - headphones on with the lights down and just float.
I also highly recommend Ceredwen's "The Golden Land" if you can still get it. It was out of print last time I checked, but still available used through Amazon.
Description of O'r Mabinogi
Named after the Celtic goddess of inspiration, the duo of Ren?e Gray and Andrew Fryer that is Ceredwen debuts with a CD that is at once energetic, introspective, and ethereal. Inspired by the mabinogi or oral stories passed down from ancient Celtic tribes, Ceredwen interestingly mesh the modern sounds of keyboards, drum machines, and heavily processed vocals with piano, pennywhistle, and percussion to bring forth a unique, rhythmic brand of Celtic music. Gray sings in Welsh, which gives the songs a timeless flavor, though on some tunes ("Fel Yr Eira" or "Like the Snow") the heavy effects detract from her pretty voice. There are also a few songs that take a little too long in getting going, but overall the album will well please fans of Enigma or modern Celtic music. --Karen KarleskiGeneral CDs
