Music Reviews of A New JourneyMusic Review: Features Irish Fiddler Mairead Nesbitt Rating: 5 Stars
This is a wonderful CD containing a variety of traditional Irish, classical and contemporary music. The majority contains vocals by some of the most talented soloists Ireland has to offer, but some of the tracks are fantastic instrumental numbers by the groups violinist, Mairead Nesbitt. She will delight you with her traditional sound and her mastery of the instrument.
Music Review: Wonderful Celtic Divas Rating: 5 Stars
It's indeed a New Journey for these Celtic Women. This group of Irish lasses are beautiful as the beautiful renditions they sing. Cute and breezy little Mairead is a fiddler of such great soul, you'd think she learned the instrument from her crib. The full orchestra and backup singers make this second rendition of Celtic Woman a journey you won't soon forget.
Music Review: Celtic singing Rating: 5 Stars
This is the second album of theirs that I have purchased. I must have an Irish background somewhere because I just love their music and after seeing them perform on PBS I had to have more. You can even sing along as the lyrics are in the case. Nice surprise. I highly recommend this if you are into this type of music (my boyfriend hates it) !
Music Review: Fantastic! Rating: 5 Stars
This one is even better than the last one. Their voices are so pure, it is a real pleasure to listen to them over and over again. The entire production was terrific. Plenty of great instrumentation and backup vocals to complement the wonderful performances by the lead singers. I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys Celtic music.
Music Review: Celtic Woman Needs More Fiddle Rating: 4 Stars
I saw the concert at Radio City and was truly WOWED by it. Unfortunately this CD contains mostly soft, quiet songs. They are great, but it needed more of the electricity of the fiddle, drums, etc. Both in the concert and on the CD, the use of non-Celtic music was not needed. There is plenty of ALL Celtic music to handle a concert and CD.
