Music Review: a STAPLE of 60s music! LOVE this c.d.

This is a re-issue of the CLASSIC 1963 album "Rhythm of the rain" by the Cascades. It contains the exact 12 songs of original recordings as the original 1963 vinyl l.p. does. AND of course looks just the same as it originally did. This is complete listening pleasure. The Cascades are mostly known for there major hit "Rhythm of the rain" BUT the same classic sound is maintained through out the entire album. I think there are certain albums that are just plain timeless, and a staple of the era. To me THIS is one of those albums! This is great sound at a great price. Manufactured by "Rhino Enterainment Co." 2004 and distributed by "Collectables Records" 2004.
In 1963 the Cascades had 4 songs on the pop chart and then 1 in 1969. Here is the billboard pop listing for those 5 singles.
1. "Rhythm of the rain" b/w "Let me be" #3 in 1963.
2. "The last leaf" b/w Shy girl" #60 in 1963.
3. "Shy girl" #91 in 1963.
4. "For your sweet love" b/w "Jeannie" #86 in 1963
5. "Maybe the rain will fall" b/w "Naggin' cries" #61 in 1969
I still have this vinyl album from my teenage years and have played it on and off over the decades. THIS truely is great to now have the convience of a c.d.!
I would recommend this great music to all who like the sixties classics.
