Music Review: One of Carly's greatest!

If you ask me, Hello Big Man is one of miss Simon's best recordings!
It's considered a flop, failure, whatever you wanna call it, but actually it's a true work of art.
Carly experimented with a couple of sounds on this record, like true 80's pop and reggae and does so very, very well!
The album's opening track You Know What To Do, is a great track that sounds every inch like 80's pop tracks sounded back in 1983. This could easily have been a Billy Idol or Talk Talk track.
Orpheus can be compared to Joni Mitchell's Blue, it's an amazing work of art that describes Carly's divorce from James Taylor. It's such a shame this song never got the attention or praise it so deserves.
This song alone makes it more than worth to go out and buy this record!
I have never really liked reggae music, but Carly's experimental songs like Menemsha, the Bob Marley cover Is This Love? and Floundering work very well and I have to admit that I love them, especially the first one.
The title track Hello, Big Man tells us the story of how Carly's parents met and fell in love.
Since this record has previously been re-released, I suggest that if you like Carly only a bit, you get this one as fast as you can.
You'd probably be thankful to me for recommending it to you!!
