Music Review: Great music with a soft beat

I love this CD. I am a yoga teacher and am always looking for music that is inspirational with a soft beat to add some strength to our practice. This is it. I also loved Sacred Spirit 1 (but not 2) and Shaman. If you liked these CDs, Winds will be a perfect addition. It's a combination of Tibetan and Native American healing music. It's beautiful.
Description of Winds of Devotion: Earthsea Healing Series
On this recording Nakai is joined by Nawang Khechong, a master of the Tibetan flute, and a practitioner of traditional healing techniques. They are joined by David Darling on cello; Geoffrey Gordon, percussionist from Jai Uttal's Pagan Love Orchestra; bass player Wade Mathews; and keyboardist-producer Peter Kater to produce a suite of music that bends the healing traditions of Native America and Tibet. Nakai and Khechong have an obvious rapport, and fit their traditions together in a seamless manner. The background vocals and synthesizer washes sound a bit clich?d at times, but the playing and chanting of the principals ultimately overcome this minor limitation. --j. poetGeneral CDs
