Music Review: Festivie, but a little crowded......

When I first learned of this CD, I was determined to buy it. Then I borrowed a copy from my friend and changed my mind. This is not the kind of music that you can listen to again and again. Mind you, I do love all the singers, and I am a die-hard Pavarotti fan. It is just that when you cramp all different kinds of music in one concert, each loses some fineness and its own touch. But what can I say? It was a charity concert. Buy this only if you need to keep a souvenir of Pavarotti and Adams (and others) singing together. Another thing is that this is almost Andrea Bocelli's first significant appearance. Now a world famous singer, Bocelli had just won first place in the Pavarotti Singing Contest back then. He was then hardly known to the world, except in Italy. It is quite obvious that Pavarotti was trying to give him a hand in his career by inviting him to join the event. There was a striking similarity in their singing. For die hard Bocelli fans, this might be a souvenir CD to collect.
