A KID'S REVIEW
Gimme More is the first single off Britney Spears' 5th studio album Blackout. After being absent from the music scene for about 3 years, people were excited/nervous to see if Britney Spears still had it. And she did. Gimme More was an instint success, landing at number 3 on the charts. Unfortunately, do to Britney's state at the time, she couldn't do much promoting, so Jive promoted by releasing as much remixes as they could. We did get a music video for Gimme More though, and the disasterous VMA performance.
1. Gimme More (Album Version) 4/5 - It's amazing the first few days you listen to it, but after a while it goes away, and it starts to get boring.
2. Gimme More (Kaskade Club Mix) 4/5 - Nothing really special here. The synths are pretty good, but basically all these remixes use synths.
3. Gimme More (Junkie XL Extended Mix) 1/5 - I hate this remix. Some of the synths get too loud and it hurts my ears when I listen to it.
4. Gimme More (Seiji Dub) 3/5 - Hardly uses any vocals, but the instrumental is pretty good.
5. Gimme More (StoneBridge Club Mix) 3.5/5 - This is another one of those O.K. remixes. Again, nothing is really special about this remix, and it's too long.
6. Gimme More (Music Video) 1/5 - I'm really disappointed. The original ideo for this video sounded amazing, but Jive edited it so that it's basically Britney dancing around a stripper pole for the ENTIRE video. It's boring, and it sucks.
So, these remixes aren't that great. The only thing on the Enhanced Features section is the Gimme More video. But this is the only single that includes these remixes, so if you're a die hard fan, buy it. If not, avoid this, because you will not be pleased.
