Music Review: Move over bacon, now there's something meatier

I have owned this record for nearly 15 years. In that span I have bought (not burned) 6 or 7 copies for friends and those friends have, in turn, bought copies for others or at least turned them on to it, which led to an eventual purchase. Being from California, as well as being such a huge VDP and BW fan, this record is like enjoying the most perfect meal and washing it down with an excellent glass of 150 year old Scotch. I would say this record is for anybody and everybody. If you love music, it's for you.
The songs are simply a slice of heaven and the production is top shelf. Brian Wilson sings like his life depended on it and Van Dyke Parks worked up a batch of songs with the precision of a Bel Aire plastic surgeon. I've taken this record on trips all around the world and it never gets old on me. And so many times I have been brought to tears by one of the tunes and found myself laughing hysterically at times. I think the Chorus in MY HOBO HEART is a good example:
I look down the lonesome Highway
A lover in every town
And i swore that I would far sooner die than
Settle down again.
Then I asked myself a question:
What places could I go to-
What road could I take-
What trip could I make-
That wouldn't lead back-
That wouldn't lead back to you.
