Music Review: One of the best from Brave Combo

The first Brave Combo CD I bought was "Night on Earth." The picture on the cover of that CD says it all about this band. Their music has always reminded me of the phenomenon of local "Vegas" bands--bands that perform at local buffets and feature a couple of multi-instrumentalists with electronic percussion and play all sorts of classics in just about every style for just about any generation. Brave Combo just happens to be the best at doing this.
All this to say that "Kiss of Fire" captures Brave Combo's particular aesthetic better than most of their albums before or since. I would have to say, too, that the vocals by Lauren Agnelli seem to be the exact female counterpart to the band's usual vocals. Highly recommended for fans of Brave Combo and for all-around accordion freaks like me.
