Music Review: HOW ABOUT NEW MATERIAL, GEORGE?!!

I have loved George for 20 years and he is at the top of my list of favorites. This CD puzzles me. Why is he re-releasing all these old tunes? If you have Culture Club'c last album, George's 1995 cd Cheapness & Beauty and 1999's Unrecoupable One man Bandit, you have most of this CD already!Some of the versions are more stripped down and more acoustic but others are left exactly as they were! Now I know George is including new tunes from taboo. But I was going to buy that anyway when it comes out. I was REALLY hoping to have a new CD of all-new tunes this year. And if he was going to include Taboo songs why ON GOD"S EARTH didnt he include his version of Stranger In this world, the best song from the show! Ok , now that i have griped I must say that Out of Fashion which is part of Bow down Mister but is not listed(?) is the best thing on this album. Its simply beautiful and haunting. I like Wrong as well.It's very revealing, poignant and I can see why his MOM cried at the show. And Letter To A School Friend is pretty too. I remember The Deal being much better in concert years ago. I think the version of Losing Control that came out years ago is INFINITELY better than the one that appears here. GEORGE....STOP SMOKING! You are RUINING your voice! Fat Cat is better on CC's last CD. I tOTALLY miss the beat that kicks in on that version.Still a great song. Cheapness & Beauty is the acoustic version which was available as a B-side years ago, but I never got that so its nice to have it now. Great song again. "Unrecoupable" was SO good. It has some REAL gems like In Maya(swoon!), Number One, and Spooky Truth.Culture Club's last CD was EXCELLENT. Cold Shoulder is AWESOME. U Can Nevr B 2 Straight is NOT as good as these previous releases.Sorry George, just my opinion...you are still great. By the way, I just re-read his autobio Take It Like A Man. What a life he has had and IS having!
