Music Reviews of Together Through Life (Deluxe Edition) CD + DVDMusic Review: Another Dylan Joke..... Rating: 1 Stars
The cover looks like two guys entertaining each other in the back of a junk car.
The singing makes me wonder if this guy gargles with gravel every morning. But hey,its the master
so we have to rate it 5 stars, don't we? Not Me,avoid at all costs.Spend your money wisely in these tough times,go buy a remastered Beatle cd instead!
Music Review: Versatility Mastered! Rating: 5 Stars
Dylan has done so many different styles. Together Through Life continues his creative journey into yet a new genre. It is quite different than Modern Times or Love and Theft, but great in its own way. Thus proving that Dylan is arguably the most prolific and dynamic singer/songwriter/composer in the world of popular music today.
Music Review: Another overrated late career effort; it's not all good. Rating: 2 Stars
Two or three solid songs don't make this effort listenable from beginning to end. It's not all good. As I write this, Dylan turns 68 years of age. I don't know if the reworking of cliches is the inevitable destiny for aging composers. But someone has to kick Dylan in the butt, and stop this laziness passing as profundity.
Music Review: Together Through Life Rating: 5 Stars
He is just amazing even after all these years. His craft just keeps on expanding into new spaces. "It's all good", "Jolene", and "There's nothing beyond here" are just three that will get you. Nobody can paint word images like Dylan. I have played it over a dozen times and it keeps on getting better.
Music Review: He has come back! Rating: 5 Stars
After some album of recompiled or remixed old song Dylan has come back!
This album is one of the best album of last 5 years. The sounds are somewhere new, the voice, more older and hoarse, is yet clear an powerful, the songs are all great songs. Dylan has come back! greater!
