Best known as BC's most successful comeback attempt. "The Beast is Back" was originally released with little fanfare in 1985 on the Megaforce label. BC returns to their roots with the ultra-heavy and loud sound of the early days. For the fan of the mellower, softer BC - pass this baby up. The BC of old is back with a vengence.Original members Dickie Peterson (vox, bass) and Paul Whaley (drums) are joined by guitarist Tony Rainier as they dive into some classic BC songs as well as freshly penned ones.
Producer Jon Zazula makes BC's sound very contempary. You never thought BC could sound so good. The standouts are "Out of Focus", "Parchment Farm" and "Ride with Me." The whole album is wonderful however.
If you like the first 2 albums. I strongly suggest you purchase this before it goes out of print (again). Its BC back on all 12 cylinders doing what they do best.
