Music Review: A true virtuoso harpist! A lovely album! :)

A native of France, Xavier de Maistre is one of the most talented harpists alive today, and in my humble opinion his album titled `Famous Classics' is nothing less than a masterpiece! His repertoire is a carefully chosen and delightful program of classical works by Smetana, Liszt, Bartok, Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, Khatchaturian, Ravel, and others. His style is unique in that he applies cadences and rhythmic shifts in just the right places, reminding me of soft breezes that change direction and intensity unexpectedly, but in the most pleasing and ear-tickling ways. Xavier de Maistre's playing is very expressive too, and this brilliant and dynamic recording captures every delicious nuance! This beautiful album by Xavier de Maistre, an amazingly talented and very handsome man, is truly a hidden treasure! I love it!
