Music Review: "The LEGEND at her Peak!"

Barbra Streisand released her album "My Name is Barbra" as a tie-in for her first CBS television special of the same name, that aired on April 28th, 1965. The recording shot all the way to #2 on the Billboard Pop Charts, winning Barbra a Grammy for Best Pop Female Performance. Highlights here are "Someone to Watch Over Me", "My Man", "Why Did I Have To Choose You", and the medley "A Kid Again/I'm Five".
There is also a companion CD to this beautiful work called "My Name Is Barbra, Two", that is a great listen.
The cover photo of Barbra is her favorite childhood picture of herself.
This particular CD would go Gold selling over 500,000 copies.
There is a DVD of this special that is still available individually or in a special deluxe edition featuring all of Barbra's CBS TV specials.
