It is important to mention that Bad Religion has two writers, each with a different style. Greg Graffin, the singer, writes more literal commentary on society(Tiny Voices/The Handshake/Inner Logic). Brett Gurewitz, one of the guitarists, writes songs about more personal subjects and is a fan of metaphor(Incomplete/Infected/Marked). Of course there are exceptions, even on this album

1.Incomplete(Gurewitz)-A good, but not fantastic song. Has kind of a janky guitar solo. 2/3

2.Leave Mine to Me(Graffin)-Getting better now. The lyrics are quite good and musically it strays from traditional verse/chorus scheme. 3/3

3.Stranger Than Fiction(Gurewitz)-Faster with more melodic vocals. The lyrics contain many famous literary references 3/3

4.Tiny Voices(Graffin)-Quality back vocals and this is when one begins to need a dictionary 2/3

5.The Handshake(Graffin)-Thought-provoking lyrics with a solid pace 2.5/3

6.Better Off Dead(Gurewitz)-One of the best songs on the CD. 3/3

7.Infected(Gurewitz)-Different sound and pace than the rest of the CD. Catchy chorus. 3/3

8.Television(Gurewitz and Johnette Napolitano)-The lame lyrics and guest vocals turns this song Rancid. 1/3

9.Individual(Graffin)-Great lyrics. Absent of chorus, but it works well. 3/3

10.Hooray for Me...(Gurewitz)-A song based on Brett Gurewitz's life. Good, but not great. 2/3

11.Slumber(Graffin)-Slower, softer song, with a mid-tempo chorus. Interesting departure from normal lyrics 3/3

12.Marked(Gurewitz)-The chorus(es) take this song over, but that isn't a bad thing. 2.5/3

13.Inner Logic(Graffin)-Classic. Awesome lyrics and the backing harmonies are the best on the CD 4/3

14.What it is(Graffin)-A rare introspective song by Greg. 2/3

15.21th Century Digital Boy(Gurewitz)-A re-recording of the original on Against The Grain. Many prefer the original, but either way it is a quality song, if a bit overrated. 3/3

Final Thought: This is good Bad Religion album but certainly not the best. It is good purchase for a fan. Someone wanting to start on Bad Religion should go with ?All Ages? and ?The Process of Belief? to get an idea of Bad Religion, past and present.

PS: Obviously penaltyshot doesn?t listen to Bad Religion or even this album. While he comments may be true for many punk bands, Bad Religion has always been above that kind of simple-minded thinking.
