Music Review: Nostalgic Charm

These purely orchestral renditions of popular tunes from the '30's are charming and beautifully executed. The musicians are all top notch including the distinguished composer, Eric Coates. I am an enthusiast of the first half of the twentieth century and I use these delightful CDs to put myself back in that world. It works wonderfully! The music is lush, rich, melodious and technically precise. The recording quality is great and the liner notes will explain the provenance of this music much better than I can! I also really appreciate the cover art on these discs. They are simply perfected fitted to the music. A grand bow to Amazon for carrying this series.
