Music Review: Finally on CD? It's about time!

For many, this album was our first exposure to the musical and songwriting talent of Mark Heard. That's only one reason I'm especially fond of this recording. I've been awaiting its release on CD since CD's have been around. This is a great album, and I can't wait to hear it on CD.
"Castaway" will remind many of James Taylor, and while many Christian artists have gone down that road since, I believe this was the first deliberate CCM tribute to JT. Mark released another version of this tune, but this version is my favorite. There are other personal faves on this CD, and while I long ago made a CD-R copy from my LP, filtering out as many clicks and pops as possible, nothing compares to a digital master from the original studio recording.
Mark was taken from us too soon. If you have a taste for well-written, thought-provoking music, this album is a great place to start.
The only thing I can't figure out it why it took so long for this to come out on CD!
