Music Review: Finally some Early Music in English!

'All The King's Men' is a collection of 'songs, dances, and folk tunes' typically performed at the royal courts of England, Spain, France, and the Netherlands, performed by a collaboration of the vocal group, I Fagiolini and the viol consort, Concordia. All songs are sung in the vernacular rather than Latin and about a third of the tunes are sung in English, nominally being pieces performed at the court of Henry VIII.
For scholarly interest, I am not expecially fond of collections which cover a broad range of times and places and styles, but as a recording you can listen to and enjoy as a sample of early music, this is better than many I have heard.
