Music Review: Sad Waste of Talent

Andrew Johnston is one of the more talented trebles of recent years. Sadly, this CD is overproduced -- presumably to appeal to a pop audience -- and the beautiful voice is very nearly lost in the electronic noise. (Yes, a CD produced for sincere classical music fans could not sell nearly as many copies -- nevertheless, a "companion album" for the better educated would have been very welcome.)
Collectors of treble music (and there are many) probably will want a copy of this CD, but they won't listen to it very often. Yes. "Britain's Got Talent," but it's not especially good at using it to best advantage.
