Music Review: This CD would put the Grinch into the Holiday Mood!

This CD is so powerful, it would make even the Grinch look forward to hearing it. Andrea Bocelli's voice is powerful and soothing at the same time. The songs are a nice mix of traditional such as "The Christmas Song" with Natalie Cole, religious "The Lord's Prayer" with The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and silly, including "Jingle Bells" with The Muppets. If you are listening to this while putting up the tree, using it as background music for your Holiday party, or just sitting by the fireplace and listening to it, you will be moved. This CD is a "Must Have" for your Christmas music library.Music Review: BRAVO !

I have always loved Andrea's voice and have been waiting for him to release a Christmas CD. Well this CD was definitely worth the wait! Combining Andrea's velvet voice with David Foster's arrangements gives us an awesome Christmas CD. The duets are varied to many styles of singers. I thought singing with the Muppets (on Jingle Bells) would be corny, but it's actually quite good. I'm not a big fan of Mary J Blige, but their duet on "What Child is This" is wonderful. It's one of my favorites on the CD. I keep playing it over and over. You won't be disappointed in this new classic!Music Review: Just one complaint....

My husband and I have been fans of Andrea Bocelli for more than 12 years. We absolutely adore his voice. This album has been long anticipated in our home, for years we have felt a void in our Christmas collection without Boccelli. The album is lovely. My only complaint is the English. Andrea Bocelli's voice is so pure, so beautiful, I don't understand why he gives in to the pressures to commercialize his voice and sing selections in English. I would williningly sacrifice my comprehension of the words in order to hear the flawless beauty of Bocelli's voice in Italian or Spanish.Music Review: Good Stuff

Everyone knows that Andrea Bocelli can sing opera. However, I was suprised at how well he sings relaxed Christmas songs. He sings Jingle Bells with the Muppets as well as he belts out Angels We Have Heard On High. He even duets well with soul diva Mary J. Blige on What Child Is This.
The only possible down side to this cd is that some of the songs are sung in Italian. If you don't speak Italian, then tough luck. However, the music is fabulous.
This is a great Christmas cd. Well worth the $10 or so you'll spend for it.

I like christmas music, and I also like alot of different types of music myself. I have gotten Steven Curtis Chapman, BeBe & CeCe, Joshua Redman all lately. I have never gotten a cd by Andrea Bocelli and now I wonder what I have been missing. This is a great complelaton of christmas songs, most pretty traditional but beautuful to say the least. The tone of his voice and the range is so beauiful. This is be playing in my cd player long after christmas is over, and I hope Santa puts a few more of his cds under my tree.
