Music Review: Consider It A Part 2 To "The Collection"

In my opinion, this is like a "Part 2" to "The Collection" CD. What this new CD is compromised of are songs taken from various older Amy Grant releases and compiled into kind of like a greatest hit part 2...with "The Collection" being part one. There are several songs that were on "The Collection" that transferred over to this new compilation. If you liked "The Collection" CD you could like this album, if all you are expecting are old Amy Grant songs compiled. If you are expecting new material or this compilation to be on the exact level as "The Collection" then you will come away disappointed with the new compilation.

I went into purchasing and listening to this CD with an open mind. I personally did not have any problem that it was a compilation of old songs (I noted this before I ever purchased it by looking at the bad of the CD) and nor did I mind having a second "oldies" Amy Grant CD. It's enjoyable music and that is what we got except for those of us who know Amy's work will be able to sing along as the versus are a known factor.

In my opinion, "The Collection" was the ultimate greatest hits for Amy and it would be hard to come out with a second greatest hits album at the excellence the first one had. I give this CD 3 stars as it isn't a awful CD but it isn't the best. It's neutral and I for one don't mind having this in my music collection nor am I disappointed in my purchase.
