upon visiting in Kauai three months ago, I was introduced to the unbelievable voice of an angel...IZ...I own tropicalstuff.com and I wanted to find the best music from the Islands, music that makes me feel like I was still there...I found so much more!!! I first heard Mona Lisa on the radio and said to myself "I have to get IZ's CD." I got it and listen to it every day! my friends from Michigan came to town and heard me playing my Alone in IZ World CD and asked me who was the artist? When I told them who it was, they said "this guy sounds so good that they know it would be a hit around the WORLD." It was when I heard IZ's version of 'Over the Rainbow' that I went looking for his music. But it was only when I listened to the entire CD 'Alone in IZ World', that I realised just how gifted he is. Through this music, you come to understand the inspiration behind it and the man himself. This CD has the ability to touch your heart and soul. This is wonderful to listen to. To anyone who has ever been to Hawaii, IZ makes it esay to return time after time. Close your eyes and listen and you will find yourself looking out over the vast blue waters of the Pacific. Over the Rainbow and Mona Lisa are great. This is almost as good a CD as Facing Future which I think is his best. Wonderful island music that seems to come directly from his heart. IZ's music has been a standard in our home for years - I use it in the morning to wake up my small kids before school, in my car to ease the stress of traffic, during dinner parties... Ive turned so many others on to IZ. This new album is beautiful and at times haunting. It is full of heart and true love/pride of heritage. IZ's voice is unparalelled in warmth and depth. Like a gentle Kula breeze, you cannot help but relax when you hear IZ.
