Music Review: One of his very best ever- a stunning concept rock/metal album

Alice seemed to disappear after the 1991 album Hey Stoopid, for a good few years, some even wondered if he would ever put another album out again. Finally around five years later, this came out and suprise everyone. It is much more mature, finely crafted than many of his albums, very complex, a well written and put together.
It is a kind of concept album based on the story of a young boy called Steven, who gets involved and atempted away with a strange dangerous man into a bizarre deadly theatre where all kinds of evil and hellish things want to keep him from returning to a good life.
So all of the songs have lyrics which tell part of the story. This might sound stupid or like it might distract from the music, but no, the songs are some of the most well written, catchy, memorable, rocking tunes Alice has ever made. This a very great album, deep and thought provoking while loud rocking and fun. It also has a graphic novel comic book of the same name which does tell the whole story of Steven and his spooky horror ride. Great album.
