Music Review: Best investment you'll make this year: six stars!

A friend told me about Airy Melody CDs. I went to Airy Melody's website to listen to these CDs before I bought them... and I wound up buying all three CDs! I LOVE all three of them! They have made our lives so much easier, and have been a real lifesaver. Sometimes I have walked through the house and heard all three CDs being played, a different CD in each bedroom! That's okay with me, because I find the voice, songs, and narratives very soothing. And I feel like it is another important way for me to take care of my family.
I got "Rainbows and Sunshine" for my older child. She is just plain stressed; I think a lot of it is the everyday stress that all children have today, and the fact that she has been the target of bullies a few times. Also, her younger sister is sick a lot, and that is scary. She loves the music and narratives, and listens to the Rainbows and Sunshine every night before bed. I hear her singing the songs about Rainbows and Sunshine sometimes, and she does the breathing when she is stressed at school. We also used the visualization techniques to help her prepare for a dance recital and an oral report at school.
She is waking up less with nightmares, and wakes up in a better mood. The other day she woke up grumpier than usual, and I realized we had forgotten to play the CD. I also find the CD relaxing, and enjoy the narrator's soothing voice, and relaxing songs about nature.
I bought "The Swan and The Mermaid" for my youngest child, who has been diagnosed with Ehrles Danlos syndrome and IBS. It is almost impossible to describe what it is like to deal with chronic illness with a child, but if you are parent who in the same situation you know what I mean. Anyway, she LOVES The Swan and The Mermaid. She uses the techniques in kindergarten, and we listen to it on the way to hospital for tests and sometimes during the tests. She adores the stories and the music. When she is home sick, I also put it on.
Sometimes my older daughter listens to The Swan and The Mermaid too. (Originally she did this to help her younger sister, like Airy Melody suggested in the CD insert. They said it is a good way for a sibling to help another sibling who is sick, it benefits both kids.) However, even though it is for younger children my older daughter likes it too!
Finally, I bought "Waves and Light" for me and my husband. At first he listened to help with extreme abdominal pain, which they finally discovered was his gall bladder. (His surgery stressed us all out; thank God we already had our CDs!) He said that the musical narratives helped him relax and feel less pain, and I know they helped me feel less afraid with every thing going on. I listen to them before bed, and sometimes when I wake up in the night. I love the soothing voice and peaceful music. They help me relax and go make to sleep, usually before the CD ends.
I can't recommend these CDs highly enough! If you aren't sure, go to Airy Melody's website and listen to the samples. I feel these were a very wise investment for my whole family. They make our lives easier, and I feel good knowing that we are all learning the latest techniques for coping with stress. They really help with surgery, hospital procedures, chronic illnesses, and everyday stress!
