311's been my favorite band since i heard jackolantern's weather at a party in like '98...grassroots isn't my top choice, but it's def a neccessity for 311 fans to have. i'm not going to repeat everything that all the other reviews say, but i am going to tell you to take their word for it, this cd rocks...Music Review: the last great 311 CD

after grassroots, 311's sound changed, which led to the commercial success they richly deserved - but at the expense of the impressive alchemy underlying the music and grassroots discs. other reviews saying grassroots was 311's peak pretty much hit it on the head. get this!

I would have a hard time saying between Music and this cd as their best works.They are 2 of the most original stuff 311 put out and the most rocking with an edge to it.Their sound is so much more refined in later cd's but with the expense of sounding watered down some.Music Review: R.I.P Brad

311 is a shameless Sublime rip-off. I love Sublime and hoped 311 would be similarly good, unfortunately it's not. It seems pretty juvenile, but maybe my taste in music is just weird. Listen to "Stand By Your Van" by Sublime instead of this stupid crap.
